Pacific Crest Trail Gear List 2017

This is my 2017 NOBO (Northbound) PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) gear list before leaving. This will change as I get into different regions like from SoCal to the Sierras. I wanted to let you guys see what I am carrying for those of you that are wondering what my pack weight and gear is. I have seen many gear lists and they helped me quite a bit on deciding what to get. I also did a ton of research using REI, Backcountry, and Outdoor Gear Labs as references. REI has a great comparison tool that I utilized ALL the time!

I bought most of my gear on sale and with a credit card to get that cash back. Just make sure and pay your bill on time so you don’t incur interest. I’m not trying to be picky because it was free and I really appreciate it but I would like to get lighter in that area eventually. Another gracious company is Shady Rays, James sent me two pairs of sunglasses, so big shout out to them! Someone also gave me the SteriPEN to use as like a backup which is awesome but I might ditch that as I think the Sawyer Squeeze will suffice. I have gotten lots of help, so thank you to everyone!
